Description:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in public speaking, event planning, or youth mentorship (preferably in TEDx or similar platforms).
- Strong understanding of TEDx events, including the application process and TEDxYouth guidelines.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills, with a passion for working with young people.
- Ability to guide participants in idea development, storytelling, and presentation refinement.
- Demonstrated ability to manage timelines and collaborate effectively with teams.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Previous involvement in organizing or mentoring at TEDx or similar youth-focused events.
Experience in educational platforms, youth leadership programs, or community engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
WHAT IS THIS ROLE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced TEDx Mentor to guide young leaders and speakers through the TEDx license application process and/or event preparation. You will work closely with Delta launch’s leadership and youth speakers to ensure that the event aligns with TED’s core values and Delta’s vision of nurturing creativity, leadership, and community engagement. This role involves mentoring and coaching young participants on public speaking, ideation, and presentation while overseeing the licensing process.
THIS ROLE WILL INCLUDE-
- Working closely with a variety of students based across the world - including the US, Asia, Australia, and Europe.
- Maintaining reasonable levels of communication with students outside of formal sessions
- What we are looking for:
- You have at least 4 hours of availability to tutor each week.
- You’re passionate about public speaking.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to young speakers and organizers, helping them develop their ideas into TED-worthy talks and performances.
- Event Development: Collaborate with Delta’s leadership team to design the event program, ensuring a multidisciplinary theme that engages and inspires the youth audience.
- License Application: Assist in drafting and submitting the TEDxYouth license application, ensuring all necessary details are in place for a successful approval.
- Speaker Coaching: Mentor youth participants in public speaking, storytelling, and presentation skills, providing feedback to help them refine their TEDx talks.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with Delta’s team, including event planners, marketing, and sponsors, to ensure the event aligns with both TEDx and Delta’s goals.
- Youth Engagement: Foster an environment that encourages creative thinking and idea-sharing among young participants, ensuring their voices are amplified in the community.
- Diverse Topic Coverage: Ensure the talks cover a range of topics, from technology and entrepreneurship to social impact and sustainability, promoting innovation across disciplines.
- Community Impact: Help build a strong connection between the TEDxYouth event and the local community by highlighting relevant issues and encouraging local participation.
