At Hoyer, we offer products specialised for applications within selected niche segments, such as Marine, Wind and HVAC. Therefore, the complexity of purchasing activities increases and relies more and more on technical product specifications, facts, data and not only on logistical and commercial parameters.
As part of our expansion, we are seeking a skilled Technical Purchaser to join our Supply Chain department. In this role you will support our strategy that focuses on advanced solutions related to electric motors. Using your ability to work with technical specifications and drawings you will ensure optimal commercial conditions from suppliers for existing and new complex products.

EXPERIENCED PURCHASER WITH COMPREHENSIVE KNOWLEDGE OF TECHNICAL PRODUCTS

We are seeking a skilled purchaser with a strong focus on technical products and excellent negotiation skills to execute the department’s strategy. You thrive in an energetic and ambitious work environment and are described by the following qualities:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in purchasing of products with complexity in technical specifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a business or engineering-related field would be an advantage
• Proficiency in English and Danish at an advanced level (speaking, listening, writing)
• Keen attention to details
• Structured, able to work effectively independently and within a team.
• Excellent communication and high-level negotiation skills
• Enjoy making a good deal
• Analytical and critical approach to unknown product categories

• Responsible for the daily purchasing of goods components, and services related to the designated categories.
• Handle RFQs by using your technical knowledge of the products as well as understanding of specifications to ensure the most competitive cost level.
• Participate in new product introduction projects as responsible for commercial terms, supplier capabilities and delivery.
• Review the demand in the ERP system and provide make-or-buy recommendations based on product technical complexity and cost.
• Follow up on orders manufacturing status at suppliers and ensure on time delivery.
• Proactively identify, qualify and negotiate contracts with new vendors for electric motor components and MROs.
• Collaborate with product configuration, sales and technical departments in the organisation to understand and translate technical requirements into precise procurement specifications.
• Develop and manage relationships with suppliers to optimise the business value
