Description:

Telecomms Support Technician.
Working with IP Telephony and DX Telephone technologies across both Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust.
The post holder will be required to manage and support critical communication technologies across the NHS Humber Health Partnership for Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trusts. You will be required to have experience of analogue and digital telecommunications.
Technologies in use include traditional DX and IP Telephony systems along with supporting systems such as IP Telephony, contact centre systems, call logging, paging, directory services and call recording.
As a member of the ICT team based at Hull University NHS Trust you will undertake implementation of new telephony systems supporting our move from our legacy systems to new technologies and working with third parties as required.
You will act as an escalation point for Telecommunication incidents and provide specialist advice and knowledge to support our ICT services as well as leading change and managing telecommunication requests.

Responsible for maintenance of physical assets for department/ service

  • To undertake, and be responsible for, the maintenance of the following critical equipment in their specialist areas:

Telephone Exchanges
Call logging system
Voicemail System
IP Telephony
Fax machines
Co-ordinate analogue phone replacement (job management) and

distribution of wiring and handsets
