We are looking for temporary extra staff until the end of the year to help set-up and build our current department.
The Legal Counsel ERO supports the Head of Legal Europe RO with contract review, corporate housekeeping and general legal affairs in the Europe region.
The key responsibilities of the Legal Counsel ERO are divided as such :
Contract review of maritime tenders & boiler plates, general terms & conditions, NDA’s, drafting and updating (standard) intra-group agreements, in accordance with CMA CGM practices, policies and procedures;
Updating/uploading agency contracts in Digidoc
Assist with the corporate housekeeping and other corporate affairs of group subsidiaries in the Europe region (advising subsidiaries on corporate matters, reviewing draft legal documents, obtaining management signatures, keeping the Group’s Governance database updated, etc.)
Answering general legal questions
Providing legal support to subsidiaries in coordination with HO/ERO stakeholders
Support to HO/ERO with risk assessments, questionnaires, overviews related to the Europe region

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A Master in Business Law or Maritime Law,
A minimum of 4-5 years with maritime law, either in private practice or in-house
Experience with claims and contract review

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Ethics, integrity and respect for the confidentiality of information
Fluent in English
Strong interpersonal/communication skills, team player
Flexible and able to perform under pressure
