Description:

Overview:
CVS is a small, values-based, social profit agency providing services to adults with diverse abilities and children & youth with special needs. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with a passion for financial concepts to contribute to our team. You will be responsible for responsible for providing accounting and administrative services, making sure that the transactions comply with financial policies and procedures. This includes processing and monitoring payments, managing the receivables and expenditures, and reviewing the payroll system. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that Community Ventures Society’s finances are accurate and up to date, that the staff are paid in a timely and appropriate manner and that vendor and suppliers are paid within established time limits.

Duties:

  • Account Receivables - Contract payments & manual invoices
  • Bank and Visa reconciliation
  • Bank Deposits
  • Benefits adjustments
  • Caregiver entry & payment
  • Review Union payroll
  • Adjusting G/L entries
  • Grant tracking and allocation
  • Donation tracking and issuing receipts
  • Issue EFT payments
  • Issue E Transfer payments
  • Monitor E transfer payments for CVS & required other places
  • Assist with Commercial Insurance renewal
  • Assist with Annual Independent Financial Audit preparation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Certificate in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is advantage, or equivalent experience
  • Progressive accounting experience with a strong focus on full-cycle accounting; past supervisory role is advantage
  • Experience with Bank and Visa reconciliations
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and financial standards; non-profit accounting is a plus
  • Payroll experience is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities
  • Effective communication skills with cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with integrity
  • Having a Driving license and driving experience is a plus as we have programs scattered in Tri cities
  • Good teamwork skills
