our client here at Elizabeth Michael is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC/CAD Designer to join their team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will use your expertise in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) programming to create precise designs and ensure seamless manufacturing processes. You will play a key role in translating concepts into high-quality products, collaborating closely with our production team to meet project specifications and deadlines.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience in CNC programming and CAD design within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and CNC programming tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and 3D models.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various departments.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Create and modify detailed CAD designs and drawings using industry-standard software.
- Develop CNC programmes for machining parts based on technical drawings and specifications.
- Interpret and analyse technical blueprints, models and engineering drawings.
- Ensure designs comply with quality and safety standards, as well as manufacturing capabilities.
- Optimise CNC programmes to maximise efficiency, accuracy and material utilisation.
- Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot and resolve any design or machining issues.
- Conduct quality checks on completed components to verify conformance to specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of designs, revisions and CNC programmes for future reference.
