POSITION SUMMARY:

The Registered Nurse promotes and restores patients’ health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with
patients, physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients,
friends, and families; supervising assigned team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

➢ Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
➢ Diploma/Degree from a recognized College/University, BScN preferred
➢ Specialized certifications and courses related to area of specialization as required
➢ BCLS, ACLS and NRP Certification
➢ PALS/ENCP Certification
➢ TNCC/ATLS and CTAS Course
➢ Basic Cardiac Arrhythmias Certification, Defibrillation Certification
➢ 15 Lead ECG Interpretation Certification
➢ Critical Care Course preferred
➢ CNA Emergency Nursing Certification preferred
➢ Maternal Newborn Course preferred
➢ Two years related nursing experience working in acute care setting preferred
➢ Working knowledge of Cerner software computer applications information system and related peripheral
hardware preferred
