This position will provide HR support at a generalist level along with project based work within the areas of recruiting, onboarding, compliance, reporting, employee relations, and employment related research/actions. Must be bilingual.

What You’ll Do

The Temporary HR Specialist will provide HR support at a generalist level along with project based work within the areas of recruiting, onboarding, compliance, reporting, employee relations, and employment related research/actions. Other duties will include:

  • Process HR & Payroll transactions into HRIS systems, execute reports, queries and audits and perform necessary actions to update and ensure integrity of the employee data.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable DNA HSE Performance Standards, objectives and as well as identified acts and regulations.
  • Recruitment and Retention Programs – Assist management with internal and external recruitment efforts, including requisition approvals, internal postings, external recruiting, interviewing and selection of employees.
  • Provide project support in multiple areas within the HR function
  • Building strong customer relationships with our internal and external stakeholders and delivering customer centric solutions.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to managers and employees relating to HR and Payroll policies, employee benefit programs and other employment information. Responsible for providing accurate information and direction regarding policies and procedures.
  • Job design work (Position Descriptions (PDs) – Works with designated management in the creation and management of position descriptions.
  • Process and track information in support of policies and benefits such as leaves of absence, short-term disability and temporary lay-offs.
  • Execute reports, queries and audits and perform necessary actions to update and insure integrity of employee data in the HRIS systems.
  • Run and distribute various reports on a regular or ad-hoc basis.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and records in compliance with retention requirements
  • Support projects and activities related to HR, Payroll, Compensation and Benefits.
  • Assist in the continuous development and improvement of information and processes required to perform quality service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, benefit plans as well as applicable local, provincial, federal regulations and laws.
