Description:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Successful completion of a College Diploma in Business Administration, Management and Organizational Studies, Human Resources ( Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
  • Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) or Employee Benefits (CEBS) designations or Pension Plan Administration Certification (PPAC) preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years experience required ( 5 years preferred)
  • Expertise knowledge of pension and benefits administration and legislation
  • Leadership presence and subject matter expert authority
  • Experience working healthcare environment with multiple unions
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve a variety of complex pay processing inquiries using critical thinking skills
  • Proficient mathematical aptitude
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members
  • Proficiency in MS software applications such as Excel, PeopleSoft, Workbrain (Infor Workforce Management)
  • Demonstrated project and process management skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task, schedule and balance multiple competing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Experience with HOOPP systems
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC’s Vision, Purpose, and Values
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS:

Before beginning employment at LHSC, all new hires will be required to:

  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis;
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step);
  • Provide proof of Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccination reflective of Ontario Health’s current definition of being fully vaccinated
