Description:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Successful completion of a College Diploma in Business Administration, Management and Organizational Studies, Human Resources ( Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
- Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) or Employee Benefits (CEBS) designations or Pension Plan Administration Certification (PPAC) preferred
- Minimum three (3) years experience required ( 5 years preferred)
- Expertise knowledge of pension and benefits administration and legislation
- Leadership presence and subject matter expert authority
- Experience working healthcare environment with multiple unions
- Ability to analyze and problem solve a variety of complex pay processing inquiries using critical thinking skills
- Proficient mathematical aptitude
- Ability to coach and mentor team members
- Proficiency in MS software applications such as Excel, PeopleSoft, Workbrain (Infor Workforce Management)
- Demonstrated project and process management skills
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task, schedule and balance multiple competing priorities to meet deadlines
- Experience with HOOPP systems
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC’s Vision, Purpose, and Values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS:
Before beginning employment at LHSC, all new hires will be required to:
- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis;
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step);
- Provide proof of Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccination reflective of Ontario Health’s current definition of being fully vaccinated
