POSITION DESCRIPTOR:

Woodville High School is a large, diverse and complex school: skills in developing positive and productive relationships, differentiating teaching practice and supporting behaviour development whilst delivering on academic achievement are considered essential. A strong work ethic and high-level of organisation are required.
This position requires recent experience teaching Special Options with proven capacity to support students with a 1:1 experience.

What you will do:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the unique needs and interests of your students
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support student achievement and well-being
  • Maintain accurate student records and support individual learning plans

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant field
  • Current registration as a teacher with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia
  • Proven experience teaching secondary school students, preferably within a public-school setting
  • Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and its effective integration into lesson planning and delivery
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
  • Passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment
