Description:

With a strong background in MV/HV projects and a passion for achieving success, you are an experienced Tender Engineer seeking an exciting new opportunity based in Co Kildare.
You will be responsible for preparing competitive tenders, estimates, and quotations, ensuring all technical and commercial aspects are thoroughly evaluated and accurately documented.
You are a strategic thinker with technical expertise in MV/HV projects and a strong commercial acumen to manage supplier negotiations and identify risks.
You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to formulate bids that meet client specifications and maximize value for the business.

TENDER ENGINEER SKILLS:

  • Prepare competitive tenders/estimates/quotations, considering the optimal product mix and relevant technical and commercial factors for each project.
  • Ensure all tenders are submitted in a timely manner, well-documented, and include full and accurate cost breakdowns.
  • Handle all aspects of the bid:

Define the most suitable technology and ensure product compliance with technical requirements. Prepare detailed price sheets and cost estimates. Estimate project labor hours and assess trading conditions.

  • Work with external suppliers to ensure technical compliance, manage lead times, and address planning issues.
  • Identify opportunities for design optimization and discuss alternatives with the tendering team.
  • Evaluate potential risks in tenders, quotations, and contract agreements, and provide solutions to mitigate them.
  • Collect and consolidate all technical and commercial data needed to prepare proposals.
  • Identify and technically assess potential vendors for project equipment and materials to ensure they meet project specifications.
