Term Time Catering Technician (2023/AN135)

We have an exciting opportunity for a well organised and self-motivated catering technician based at our Willerby Grove (with an expectation that you will be able to work across all 3 sites) working 44 hours per week, 38 weeks term time.

Your role will be to support our chef lecturers to deliver an ambitious curriculum to all.
The successful candidate will have all round food preparation and front of house service skills; this should be supported with a good working knowledge of allergens and intolerances and how these impact modern working practices.
The successful candidate should have experience of kitchen orders, accounts and audits. Working with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for stock and be able to demonstrate best working practices for stock rotation and storage within the catering environment.
The successful candidate will be passionate and enthusiastic, with exceptional communication skills, and have a desire to mentor and develop the skills of learners aged 14-19+.
The successful candidate must be an adaptable, approachable individual with a willingness to go above and beyond to help the college achieve their commercial financial goals and targets.
