Description:

Ashcroft Terminal and the PSA Group are seeking a Terminal Coordinator to join our growing team!
As the only private logistics terminal in Canada with CP & CN mainlines onsite, ATL is strategically located to help shippers, manufacturers, and producers prepare their commodities for export or import. As a member of PSA International, Ashcroft Terminal is part of a global network of supply chain professionals!
In the position of Terminal Coordinator, the successful candidate will support day-to-day administrative and accounting operations for the terminal.

Responsibilities:

IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Answering incoming calls, taking messages, and distributing as appropriate.
  • Updating the daily tracking sheets.
  • Greeting visitors, handling incoming/outgoing mail/courier and managing the filing system.
  • Ensuring clients are communicated with professionalism and followed up on in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring smooth administrative operation of the office, including managing office supplies.
  • Ensuring all office equipment is functioning and maintained adequately so that any equipment downtime is minimal.
  • Document preparation such as reports, and light typing duties.
  • Update Rail Tracking as soon as the switch crew is finished on site.
  • Ensuring all purchase orders are completed and approved for processing.
  • Daily communication with rail operators and Terminal Management regarding rail movements.

FOR SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE, YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year of office experience.
  • Experience in logistics, transportation or dispatching is considered an asset.
