Terminal Manager

The Terminal Manager is responsible for leading safe operations while delivering high service/quality and overall cost performance of the terminal. The Terminal Manager will interact with all levels of company personnel to collaboratively develop opportunities to reduce freight cost. This position is responsible to lead a team of Company Drivers and/or Owner Operators as well as terminal staff, in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Director, Region Operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain or Business preferredAt least 5-7 years
• ' experience in transportation management along with a thorough, demonstrated understanding of terminal operations
• Knowledge of transportation operations and laws, federal safety regulations and maintenance requirements preferred
• Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills in addition to a proven track record of success
• Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, direct and lead multiple tasks at once
• Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook is required. Knowledge of Transportation Software is a plus
