Job Summary:

The Terminal Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of terminal operations, including coordinating and supervising staff, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and overseeing the efficient and effective movement of goods.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in terminal or logistics management
  • Strong knowledge of terminal operations, including loading and unloading procedures, inventory management, and transportation logistics
  • Excellent leadership and managerial skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in using terminal management software and systems
  • Sound understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day terminal operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes
  • Coordinate and supervise terminal staff, including hiring, training, and conducting performance evaluations
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance productivity and optimize resources
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and other terminal activities
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination
  • Resolve any operational issues or customer complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner
  • Stay updated on industry trends and developments, and make recommendations for process improvements
  • Prepare reports on terminal performance, including key performance indicators and operational metrics
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety standards
