SUMMARY:

This role represents an exciting career opportunity with a highly recognized, rapidly growing brand, and it represents a very strategic hire for the long-term vision of this company.
Working closely with Manager, Corporate Accounts, you will be a key member of the company’s Foodservice strategic team and will be primarily responsible for driving sales growth within your assigned territory by developing and maintaining strong relationships with foodservice clients, including restaurants, catering companies, and other foodservice establishments. You will be an impact player and will have an immense ability to help develop the company’s long-term strategy; influence the corporate culture and have the opportunity for accelerated career growth.
The ideal candidate will be humble, yet confident with a strong entrepreneurial DNA. They will be aggressive and have a strong track record of growth/success and an understanding of, and relationships with, Foodservice Operators and Key Account Channels throughout the Ontario marketplace. They have the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, dynamic and fast-paced business.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with and/or a passion for Value Added Branded Food products a must.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of sales/sales experience in the Foodservice channel.
  • Experienced making sales presentations to executives in the foodservice sector.
  • Must possess key competencies including strategic vision and analytical skills enhanced by intuitive consumer insight and full Microsoft Office competence (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Entrepreneurial, innovative DNA with excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written). Must be a “risk taker” that is never satisfied with the status quo.
  • Must be willing to embrace speed, change and uncertainty.
  • Experience with both Regional and National Foodservice Distributors a definite asset.
  • Travel: Travel is expected to be above 50%
  • University degree preferred, MBA a plus. Candidates with equivalent business experience will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets within the assigned territory. Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the foodservice sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential foodservice clients. Understand their needs, provide solutions, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring regular follow-up, timely delivery of products or services, and resolution of any issues or concerns.
  • Identify, target, and secure new foodservice accounts within the territory. Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the company’s product offerings and effectively communicate their benefits and features to clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and account management activities. Provide regular reports to the sales manager on performance, market feedback, and territory insights.
  • Participate in customer food shows as required.
