The Territory Manager (TM) will be responsible for driving sales in accounts across the South of London and SE England region. They will successfully drive highly complex hospital sales from introduction of a new screening and diagnostic concepts through closure and implementation, working with physicians, laboratory, infection control, Quality Assurance and executive staff members to identify needs, gain consensus, and close new assay and instrumentation business as rapidly as possible.
This position is part of the U.K. South Sales Department and will be located in South East of England as a remote working position.

THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:

  • Strong track record of sales success, specifically in selling premium product
  • Expertise with demand creation and multi-departmental hospital sales
  • Strengths in networking and relationship development
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint applications
  • Experienced in managing stakeholders throughout the UK healthcare hierarchy. This includes but is not limited to lab technicians, lab managers, clinicians, hospital administration, purchasing and government officials
  • Educated to degree level preferably in biological or health related subjects

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

  • Up to 90% travel in the UK with occasional inter Europe and international travel

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Manage and grow business in both new and existing Cepheid accounts
  • Expand menu utilization and develop demand for the adoption of new assays and instrumentation both in the Lab and in Point of care (POC) settings
  • Negotiate and manage contracts including working with Managed Service Contracts
  • Introduce new testing concepts and products
  • Use Salesforce CRM to manage customer and account data
