Description:

Qualifications of a Territory Sales Manager:

  • Must be able to travel 75% of the time.
  • Must be willing to spend up to 50% of time traveling overnight.
  • Must have 5-7 years of sales experience, preferably in the fastener/ tool industry.
  • Must be available or “on call” for clients.
  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing or sales or applicable experience

Requirements of a Territory Sales Manager:

  • Bilingual skills desired.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have a clean driver’s license and complete annual MVRs in compliance with the KSIT fleet vehicle insurance policy.
  • Must be self-disciplined and motivated to work in a remote environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office suite, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to drive for extended periods, up to six hours, depending on territory.
  • Must be able to stand for up to four hours at a time when working trade/dealer shows.
  • Must be able to walk long distances, up to two miles at a time, when doing plant/ industrial walkthroughs.
  • Must live in the assigned territory

Responsibilities:

  • Managing new and existing clients in assigned regions.
  • In constant contact, both in person and over the phone, with existing customers to check in to help build relationships and share product knowledge.
  • Collaborates with other regional sales representatives to work trade, dealer, and national shows throughout the year.
  • Is the liaison between the company and the customer when dealing with dealers/ distributors.
  • Manages T& E budgets and ensures all reports are completed on time.
  • Trains and develops newer members.
  • Provides product and technical support for clients.
  • Complete all necessary account setup work as needed to drive commercial success and growth.
  • Accurately and timely forecast products needed to achieve sales goals.
  • Be the best representative of SENCO to clients C-suite.
