Responsibilities:
THE ROLE ITSELF?
As a Territory Sales Manager, with the support and guidance of the team you will work with growers, farmers and key stakeholders in the rural retail network predominantly across southern New South Wales. Whilst having a focus on corporate and non-corporate grower relationships, it is also vital that you add value to and manage the retail network.
Your day to day activities in this role will include:
- Developing a strategic sales plan for the territory which focusses on retaining key customers, identifying new market opportunities expanding sales opportunities in these markets.
- Being responsible for promoting the Omnia brand and its product portfolio in the sales territory.
- Developing relationships with key influencers including growers, consultants, retailers and agronomists.
- Accurately forecast annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams.
- Developing specific plans to ensure revenue growth in Omnia products.
- Coordinating efficient use of company resources to implement the territory sales plan.
- Interpreting short and long-term effects of sales strategies in operating profit.
- Preparing reports and market statistics, provide marketing intelligence to the marketing team.
- Developing and maintaining customer relations – internal and external.
- Ensuring effective cross function relationships with other departments.
- Ensuring safe working practices are adhered to.
- Assisting with the development and introduction of new products.
- Remaining flexible as agriculture is dynamic, plans and objectives can change.
WHAT KIND OF PERSON WILL FIT THE ROLE?
The perfect person for this role would be someone with tertiary agronomy qualifications and previous experience in horticultural agronomy and/or managing farming and retail customers. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working with liquid specialities products. Exposure to humate extraction in liquid specialities products will be favoured.
