This role is based in Jandakot and will report into the Business Analysis and Quality Assurance Lead.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in software testing, including test planning, execution, and defect management.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and techniques including both manual and automated testing approaches.
- Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and reports; including writing and managing test plans in Microsoft Azure DevOps.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of utility-specific applications and business processes is beneficial but not essential
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive test plans, strategies, and timelines based on project specifications.
- Identify test scenarios and create detailed test cases to ensure maximum test coverage.
- Execute test cases manually and/or using automated testing tools.
- Document test results, including pass/fail status, defects found, and any deviations from expected outcomes.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure defects are fixed and new functionalities do not adversely impact existing features.
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand system functionality and resolve issues.
- Provide timely and accurate status updates on testing progress, including any risks or issues that may impact project timelines.
- Identify opportunities to streamline testing processes, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality.
