Description:

Your role

As Software Developer Engineer in Test, you’ll take responsibility for the testing of an Identity and Access Management solution used globally, across all ZEISS units. Your goal is to provide testing support for the team by demonstrating best practices, setting up processes, educating the team, designing, and executing test cases, creation and prioritization of bugs, their retest and strengthening the overall team in delivering valuable and fault-free user stories.

  • Understanding the QA concept and workings of automation suite in development, providing in-depth support for developers to write automated tests with conceptual input from QA
  • Performing manual testing to ensure further coverage
  • Creating / managing / executing test cases
  • Enable and support the team to grow automation coverage
  • Compiling and executing test plans, reporting and tracking outstanding bugs or blockages
  • Creating, validating, prioritizing, grouping, and re-testing bugs
  • Collaborate in refinement and planning sessions to have meaningful and testable acceptance criteria
  • Contribute to the Software Development Life Cycle
  • To act as quality gate for the entire team through implemented processes
  • Reporting team activities and dependencies for cross-team collaboration and dependencies
  • Interested and open to learn/use other test levels (e.g. API testing)
  • Be a central part of an agile development team

Your profile

  • At least 4+ years of test automation experience
  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps or similar tools
  • Working experience in agile software development
  • ISTQB CTFL is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative team spirit
  • Fluent English language skills
