Description:

Job summary:
We have an opportunity for a Test Development Engineer to join our Production Engineering Team at our Great Yarmouth facility. In this role you will guide and lead microelectronic test solution design and implementation in support of new product launch and help maintain test systems. You will also provide subject matter expertise in electronics operation, diagnostic and tuning to ensure all manufacture is completed to specification.

Main responsibilities:

  • Engineering lead for test solution design and release to manufacture
  • Design and develop test solutions in the form of guidance on PCBa design, test socket identification, test software programming and support for scripting
  • Generate full test documentation, instructions, and drawings for manufacturing release, including training of manufacturing team
  • Diagnose and repair products which fall outside of specification limits
  • Liaise with customers and design partners to ensure products meet performance requirements, supporting customer meetings and discussions as needed

Knowledge and experience:

  • Degree level qualification in Electronics Engineering
  • Strong Electronics Engineering background
  • Some experience in Electronics Design/ Manufacturing Test
  • Experience in electronics manufacture or similar industries
  • Practical understanding of electronics assembly including test and validation of product
  • Software Design and Programming - LabView, C, MatLab, Python
  • RF circuit operation, test and tuning techniques (desirable)
  • Familiarity with: PCBa techniques / Electronic test methodologies / Industry quality standards
