Lorax EPI are looking to recruit a Test Engineer to their growing team. Working at the forefront of our QA team, to ensure high-quality software delivery by designing and executing comprehensive test strategies, developing automation, and improving test processes in collaboration with development teams.

To be considered for this role, you need at least 5 years of automation and +7 years of overall testing experience. You will need to demonstrate a critical mindset with a proven ability to identify weaknesses and challenge assumptions during the development process, including the following:
- Experience across multiple types of testing:
- System Testing
- Sanity Testing
- Integration Testing
- Interface Testing
- Regression Testing
In this role, you will :
- Develop and maintain test automation scripts for both functional and non-functional tests, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and efficient test execution.
- Contribute to the improvement of test frameworks and suggest enhancements to optimize testing processes and outcomes.
- Utilise a solid understanding of coding languages (with expertise in at least one) to design, implement, and maintain effective automation tests, ensuring high quality and reliability.
- Identify and analyse test results to uncover potential risks and work closely with developers to prioritize and resolve defects.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements and provide input on testing strategies and best practices.
- Design and execute a variety of test types, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and security tests, ensuring the product meets quality standards.
- Communicate test results and defect impacts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, assisting in the prioritisation of defect resolution.
- Support the Senior Test Engineer in the coordination of testing efforts, particularly in complex system integration projects or high-impact releases.
- Investigate and troubleshoot system issues, helping to identify root causes and work towards permanent solutions.
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring effective task management and delivery.
- Mentor junior test engineers, offering guidance on testing techniques, automation tools, and frameworks, while developing leadership skills.
- Continuously seek to improve testing processes, incorporating new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Hybrid Statement
This role requires full-time office attendance during the initial 6-month probation period to ensure effective onboarding and collaboration with the team. Upon successful completion of probation, and with the agreement of your manager, the role will transition to a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for up to 3 days of remote work per week, depending on business needs and team requirements.
