REQUIREMENTS

A Lead Engineer (specialising in Software QA) oversees the planning, design, development, integration and execution of high-quality software testing solutions (including automated CI/CD first approaches) to meet user needs, continually improving the application of best practice patterns, methods and tools. This includes:

• Engaging with clients and colleagues to plan and deliver quality assurance on complex projects
• Collaborating with engineering, user centred design, service operations, delivery management and data science practitioners to design and run holistic test cases
• Choosing, configuring and implementing testing frameworks and tooling (manual and automated) to enable effective testing and reporting.
• Influencing company-wide testing best practice, standards, tools and artefacts, and lead on ensuring adoption across the company.
• Proactively identifying and implement improvements within projects, and if applicable, across the company .
• Liaising with third party test specialists to co-ordinate external testing e.g. penetration testing, accessibility testing
• Being an active member of the Engineering discipline, promoting professional accreditations, developing the practice across the business, and sharing best practice.
• Supporting the growth of Informed’s Engineering capability by helping to recruit technical staff and contributing to InformedACADEMY©

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in automated software testing in an agile and DevOps culture.
• Experience working in an agile and Continuous Integration based environment (Scrum, Jira, Confluence).
• Planning skills with the ability to develop and implement QA processes and methodologies that align with business objectives and project timelines.
• Experience overseeing the execution of comprehensive test suites across team members, mentoring others on best practice.
• Experience developing and testing bespoke enterprise scale applications.
• Experience working with Cloud-based solutions and technologies (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure).

Experience working with some, or all, of the following testing tools and technologies:

• JMeter, BlazeMeter, BrowserStack
• Cucumber/Gherkin
