Description:

The National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE) is a nonprofit organization that provides high-quality assessment products, services, and research for the benefit and protection of the public and the legal profession. The Test Production Associate provides support for the production of secure testing materials, creation of materials for test item development and grading workshop meetings, and related logistical and administrative tasks. The Associate is an essential member of the Test Operations Department, a cohesive team encouraging both individual and collaborative work across a wide variety of operational tasks. A successful candidate will promote cooperation and commitment within a team as well as take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work to achieve goals and deliverables.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Familiarity with universal design standards a plus.
  • High level of organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Adobe InDesign are a plus.
  • Evidence of project coordination experience.
    The Test Production Associate may be eligible for hybrid remote work after successful completion of a training/probationary period.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the preparation, production, and printing of print-based exam materials.
  • Assists with preparation and production of digital exam materials.
  • Creates digital and print-based materials to support test item development, NCBE Policy Committee, and grading workshop meetings.
  • Performs quality control, e.g., accurately formatting and proofing documents including those for meetings, exams, and score reports.
  • Participates in answer sheet reconciliation, including scanning, correcting biographical information, and verification of answers.
  • Coordinates shipping/tracking of meeting and exam materials.
  • Enters exam content from editors into the item banking system.
  • Participates in post-test administration tasks to prepare exam data for scoring.
  • Assists with a semiannual grading workshop held on Saturdays.
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives impacting quality and productivity.
  • Other duties as assigned.
