TRISO-X, LLC is seeking a Testing & Qualifications Engineer responsible for translating technical ideas, provided by Design and R&D Engineers, into formal technical specifications, testing, and qualifications such that these requirements can be developed, tested, tracked, and routinely confirmed.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, nuclear engineering, material science, material science engineering, mechanical engineering, or another related field is preferred.
  • Typically, 5 years of relevant work experience is preferred in testing and qualifications of industrial equipment. Advanced degrees may be in lieu of some years of experience.
  • One year of experience managing major suppliers and subcontractors.
  • One year of experience with on-site equipment installations.
  • One year of experience working with Subject Matter Experts both in-person and remotely.
  • One year of general familiarity with electronics and mechanical parts and hardware.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop production equipment system requirements and specifications in collaboration with Design and R&D Engineers.
  • Prepare and review testing and qualifications and related documents for goods and services.
  • Prepare or assist in the preparation and development of work scope documents, performance specifications, inspection requirements, quality, and other technical base documents in a collaborative effort with the corporate organization.
  • Ensure initial and ongoing compliance and consistent application of all company equipment testing and maintenance policies and practices.
  • Collaborating with engineering, technical, and quality personnel:
  • Support development and operation of systems for tracking, resolving, dispositioning, and reporting delivery, invoicing, inspection, and non-conformance problems or issues in compliance with TRISO-X Facility Quality System.
  • Expedite acceptance testing of materials from suppliers as needed.
  • Support development and operation of receipt inspection and testing of received goods and equipment.
  • Identify and select suppliers for each project, service, or component purchase.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Travel to supplier facilities to evaluate design, manufacturing, and production capabilities.
  • Provide requirements for and perform receipt inspection, dimensional verification, functional testing, acceptance testing, and other tests as needed.
  • Analyze and compile quotes to develop purchase requisition packages.
  • Identify areas for significant cost savings between engineering and manufacturing.
  • Provide technical advice and design suggestions to allow for ease of manufacturing.
  • Review internal and external procurement documents, drawings, quotes, purchase orders, etc.
  • Develop and maintain calibrated tools and acceptable records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
