ECP Entwicklungsgesellschaft is recruiting for a Test Technician, located in Berlin.
As a Test Technician (m/f/d), you will support the research & product development of Abiomed’s Impella heart pumps by creating test protocols, preparing test procedures and protocols, performing tests and creating reports.

Exciting tasks await you:

• As a Test Technician (m/f/d) you carry out tests according to standardized guidelines (ASTM, SOP, WI)
• In this function, you will check whether product prototypes meet our requirements and specifications and support the design and development of new prototypes as well as tests
• You carry out data analyses and take over the documentation in our systems
• This includes the design and creation of test plans/protocols and test reports
• It is your responsibility to carry out and/or support test method validation activities
• You support the continuous improvement process in everyday laboratory life

Key Responsibilities:

• performance map of pump prototpyes
• hemolysis tests of pump prototypes (performed in pork blood)
• subassembly testing including eg. tensile testing
• High-speed camera tests of pump prototypes or subassemblies
• High-cycle fatique tests of full pump systems or on subassembly-level
• Documentation of tests performed
• Calibration of sensors of test rigs

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Bachelor or master degree in Science or Engineering with a technical focus or test technician degree

Experience and Skills:

Required:

• Very good MS Office skills
• Strong organizational skills, efficient, detail oriented
• Demonstrate superior teamwork in working with peers in manufacturing, quality inspection, logistics and engineering

Preferred:

• Familiarity with electrical/mechanical systems
• Hands on experience with basic test and lab equipment (e.g. microscope, multimeter, pressure sensor, thermocouple, etc.)
• Experience in medical device testing

Other:

• Fluent speaking and writing in German
• Travel readiness to other Abiomed locations
• Fluent speaking and writing in English and German
• Valid driver’s license B
