Overview:
We are seeking talented Testing Consultants (QA Analysts) with a proven track record in solution delivery, the Test Analyst will be responsible for the end-to-end testing of Point of Sale, SmartPOS and SoftPOS solutions. The team ensures that products are delivered efficiently, meet the highest quality standards, and exceed customer expectations. As a member of a highly collaborative, dynamic test team, the Test Analyst will be asked to provide mentoring, guidance and direction to other team members, as well as ensuring the quality of the team’s output is of a consistently high standard.

Experience:

• 2+ years experience within a software quality assurance / testing role
• Experience in API Testing (SoapUI, Ready API, Postman etc.)
• Automation & Scripting knowledge, Python or equivalent, ability to create automated tests utilising frameworks & tools.( JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber / Serenity BDD, Rest Assured Desired)
• Technical skills - SQL, UNIX, Agile preferential
• Hands on experience with: Front end testing, Back end testing, Integration Testing and Regression Testing
• Self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
• Non-functional testing experience advantageou

THIS ROLE IS BASED IN NENAGH

Responsibilities:

• Document and execute high quality test plans for functional areas under custom development and test
• Play a central role in adding to our extensive automation capabilities in testing our core point of sale and terminal platforms
• Analyse complex requirements and review acceptance criteria to ensure they are for fit for purpose, testable and can have tests developed to explicitly test and guide acceptance
• Create comprehensive and well defined test scripts that are traceable back to requirements
• Execution of functional, regression and integration test scripts
• Lead/participate in defect triage discussions and question development perception of severity
• Co-ordination of test activities and work as part of a scrum team
• Interrogate the underlying databases to extract test data and execute SQL statements to prove test results
• Develop and execute technical tests to prove the load and performance of the solution
• Contribute to management reporting including appropriate test metrics on planning, defects and execution.
• Ensure regression testing is performed in a manner that recognizes the risks of introducing defects into the environment
• Work closely with the development teams to provide information and direction to junior team members
• Escalate risks and issues to the appropriate level to ensure resolution
• Support test management in developing project plans and track against key milestone dates

Qualifications:

Essential:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
• ISTQB Advanced

Desirable:

• Additional course or certification in Quality Assurance
