Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Software Tester to join our team in an on-site position, collaborating closely with lead engineers to develop software and hardware capabilities using modern test methodologies. Your role will also involve developing and maintaining automated test tools and scripts to enhance efficiency and innovation. You will also:
- Document analysis and case test design in accordance with product requirements
- Participate in integrated team activities within Systems Engineering, Development and System Integration
- Develop Integration and Test Plans and Procedures, building and validating test environments to ensure the system meets the highest standards
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test tools and scripts, showcasing your commitment to efficiency and innovation
- Identify defects, resolve issues, and ensure thorough system verification.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Quality Assurance, or Test Engineering
- Understanding of software and hardware test and quality assurance principles
- Strong problem solving skills
- Excellent communication
- Experience in technical writing
- Enthusiastic contributor, willingness to learn new skills and take ownership of work
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
