Description:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant educational background or certifications in railway systems or operations.
- Proven experience in temporary operations during testing and commissioning within railway systems (10+ years).
- Strong technical knowledge of applicable railway rules and standards (Canada).
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Commitment to Safety: The Temporary Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality, safe results throughout the project.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute testing and commissioning activities for various railway systems, including train dynamic testing, traction power, communications, signaling, depot equipment, SCADA, and MEP.
- Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure a safe system during testing and commissioning stages.
- Conduct inspections, document findings, and provide recommendations for improving railway system performance.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide technical and operational support during testing and commissioning.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations specific to railway systems.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and reports related to testing and commissioning activities.
- Safety and Operational Impact:
- Lead accident investigations and safety training.
- Develop temporary operations plans.
- Manage procedures for work permits (PTW), railroad vehicle management, electrical isolations (Traction Power), communication, access, and safety updates.
