Description:

We are hiring a TestLab Engineer to join our innovative team in Munich. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in shaping the future of Steelcase by leading advanced testing and validation processes, ensuring the highest standards in product safety. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical expertise, and contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possesses advanced engineering knowledge and practical skills.
  • Has advanced technical and analytical skills.
  • Is detail-oriented and highly accurate.
  • Has advanced writing and computer skills.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work individually.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Advanced knowledge of product/materials and manufacturing processes.Work experience in a comparable position.

Responsibilities:

  • Control samples, develop test plans, evaluate results, make recommendations, and conduct failure mode investigations.
  • Perform advanced testing tasks, receive test requests, conduct testing, record results, and write and communicate test reports.
  • Provide training, technical and professional guidance to your peers.
  • Develop and validate test methods, create and validate test methods and equipment, handle purchases, and provide training on test methods and equipment.
  • Effectively communicate technical information to all levels within the organization and with external partners.
  • Attend technical design review meetings and consult on technical issues with the product engineering team, identify technical issues, and provide solutions within the test lab and the broader organization.
  • Work with power tools and machinery.
  • Coordinate the calibration, verification, and maintenance of test equipment.May represent the company by participating in professional societies or committees.
