Description:

We are hiring a TestLab Engineer to join our Munich team. In this role, you will lead advanced testing processes, ensure product safety, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions. You’ll also represent Steelcase, driving excellence and innovation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Advanced engineering knowledge and practical skills.
  • Advanced writing and computer skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of product/materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Fluent level (C1) of German and English.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • In-depth experience conducting tests using standards/norms.
  • Proficiency with data acquisition and programming.
  • Relevant work experience in a comparable position.

Responsibilities:

  • Guides testing processes, develop test plans, evaluate results, and conduct failure mode investigations.
  • Perform tests, document results, and communicate findings through reports.
  • Train and guide peers on test methods and equipment.
  • Develop and validate test methods, handle purchases, and maintain equipment.
  • Communicate technical information across the organization and with external partners.
  • Participate in technical reviews, troubleshoot, and solve issues within the test lab.
  • Operate power tools and machinery for hands-on testing.
  • Coordinates equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Represent Steelcase in professional circles and committees.
