Description:
Make an Impact as a Texas Rising Star Quality Assurance Specialist
ChildCareGroup provides the management of the Texas Workforce Commission’s Child Care Services program through contracts with Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas, Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas and Workforce Solutions Heart of Texas. These contracts provide financial child care scholarships for eligible families and the mentoring and quality improvement strategies for child care programs obtaining the Texas Rising Star (TRS) quality certification.
In Texas, the quality rating certification for child care programs is called “Texas Rising Star.” Texas Rising Star provides a systemic approach to assess, improve, and communicate the level of quality in Early Learning Programs.
As the Texas Rising Star Quality Assurance Specialist, you will ensure that the TRS program meets state and local regulations and policies and follows procedures. The specialist will monitor program data to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of actions within the required databases and send out customer satisfaction surveys twice quarterly. The specialist will also provide monthly reports to the management team.

Responsibilities
- Will monitor based on the Texas Workforce Commission Child Care Rules, Section 809, Workforce Development Letters issued, and the Texas Rising Star Guidelines.
- Graduation from a four-year college or university is preferred
- Three or more years’ experience in quality assurance, or direct experience in monitoring in a Texas Workforce Commission Program
- High level of attention to detail.
- Must be a systems thinker who sees the broad picture and works well in a collaborative environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate business processes and procedures.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
- Must be able to manipulate large data sets effectively in Excel.
- Excellent mathematical skills, including application and use in problem-solving.
- Excellent business, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrate skills in critical and analytical thinking and project management.
