What you’ll do

• Ensure a high standard of care for level 1 and level 2 post operative patients and safe transfer to critical care unit/other area
• Health and physical abilities sufficient for the post (with reasonable adjustments with respect to the Equality Act/Disability Discrimination Act)
• Work with Medical staff and multi-disciplinary team to ensure patient safety and treatment are carried out asper Trust policies
• Able to communicate effectively, in person and written, in all situations with wide range of people, Full use of IT systems
• Able to work unsupervised using own initiative and ability to prioritise workload in challenging situation
• Maintain accurate records of observation, treatment and patient care.
• Get involved with Education team, support junior staff and get engaged with link roles in the unit
• Able to demonstrate behaviours that meet the Trust Values - Patient First, Working Together and Always Improving

• Qualified Nurse/ODP Adult or Dual registered Adult/Child
• Recovery/critical care unit experience is desirable but not essential
• Flexible to work patterns, which includes short shifts, early, lates, twilights, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing environment
• Positive attitude and team player
