JOB DESCRIPTION

The Therapeutic Residential Childcare Worker will work with the children on a shift basis, providing high quality childcare, assisting the shift lead/senior TRCW to therapeutically re parent children.
Reporting to: Senior TRCW, Assistant Team Manager and Registered Manager
Responsible for: The emotional, physical and developmental needs of the children within the home

KNOWLEDGE:

1. To keep abreast of changes in policy, practice, legislation and research relating to residential childcare.
2. To gain a working knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and The Quality Standards.
3. To gain knowledge of Dyadic Developmental Practice and use the principles of PACE (playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy) with the children
4. To ensure that the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 are met. including reporting any maintenance issues immediately to a line manager.
5. To ensure that services are provided in accordance with the Company’s Policies and Procedures, commitment to diversity, equal opportunities and objectives of quality assurance.
