- Demonstrable experience of working in a care setting and developing positive relationships through trust
- Application of a range of techniques to co-ordinate and communicate with service users and their families
- Demonstrate a solution focused approach to address problems, individually and in a team setting
Demonstrate emotional resilience to respond to the challenging nature of the rolePossess a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or recognised equivalent) or if you do not possess this you must be prepared to complete this within 2 years of commencing employment with us, full support will be provided.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
ROLE: THERAPEUTIC RESIDENTIAL WORKER
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualification)
Contract/Hours: Permanent/Full Time 37 hours per week
Location : Newcastle upon Tyne
A BIT ABOUT THE ROLE
As therapeutic residential worker you’ll be responsible for creating a safe and supported living environment for the children and young people in our care. This role involves providing emotional and psychological support, helping children develop coping strategies, and promoting positive behaviours. You will engage in daily activities with the children, facilitating their social skills and emotional growth through a structured programme and therapeutic interventions. Your work will be crucial in helping children build confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
