Are you a compassionate and skilled Clinical Therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate the challenges of mental health and substance use disorders? We’re seeking a Clinical Therapist to provide evidence-based, best-practice therapies to our clients, helping them achieve their treatment goals. This is your chance to make a difference!
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:
- Must possess one of the following: LCAC, LCSW, LMHC, or LAC.
- 2+ years of experience in behavioral health, preferably in substance use disorder treatment.
- Must have or, within 30 days from hire, be able to obtain a current First Aid and CPR card.
- Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Focused CBT.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to apply common sense and handle various challenges independently.
Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Planning: Screen and evaluate clients to plan and administer appropriate therapeutic treatments using a biopsychosocial assessment.
- Therapy Services: Deliver individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based, best-practice approaches (CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused CBT).
- Documentation: Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation, including diagnostic assessments using DSM V, consistent with agency standards and regulations.
- Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs and goals.
- Coordination of Care: Consult with external community providers concerning treatment plans and coordinate care as required.
- Progress Reports: Provide regular progress reports to courts, probation departments, families, and referral sources when applicable.
- Client Advocacy: Advocate for clients and their families within the treatment program and broader community.
- Supervision: May supervise interns/volunteers as needed.
- Professional Development: Complete annual training to enhance your skills and stay current with best practices.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Lead Therapist.
