Description:
We have an exciting opportunity in Hand Therapy (outpatients) for a B4 Therapy Assistant Practitioner. (30 hours – (0.80 wte)
We are a friendly hand therapy team that work across three hospital sites (Monday to Friday) treating a wide variety of patients.
Your role would be based at PCH and is a mixture of clinical and non-clinical duties.
Hand therapy experience is not a necessity, all we ask is for someone who is:
- Keen to learn
- Motivated to work in our hand therapy team and to treat a variety of conditions.
- Caring and empathetic approach
- Great organisational skills
- Good communication skills
Your role would include clinically treating hand related patients autonomously (there will always be a senior member of staff close by for assistance/advice) and facilitating a hand therapy class.
Your role will also include non-clinical duties such as stock taking, general housekeeping and administrative duties.
You will have monthly structured CPD once a month to continue your professional development and regular weekly supervision.
If successful you would join the hand therapy team with a structured two-week timetable that will allow you to learn specific conditions and modalities used in hand therapy with opportunity to shadow the team to develop skills.
