Description:
GROW WITH US
Our Exciting Opportunity – Thermal Building Practice Lead
Do you want to be a part of one of the best Thermal Design Teams in the world? Do you love working in a team that supports each other to achieve great results? This is your chance! We are now hiring a senior cross-functional thermal designer specialising in thermal component and system building practice to our team in Kista, Stockholm. At Ericsson in Sweden, we are two units of more than 30 highly talented Thermal Designers who support all of Ericsson with our expertise. We collaborate with our thermal design colleagues at the other R&D Centres both in Beijing, Chengdu, Ottawa, and Sweden.
The candidate will work and act much broader than a traditional thermal designer, over all parts of the “Thermal Value Chain”. With a deep knowledge in thermal design and a very good understanding of the other technology areas. A holistic approach that benefits the final product design will be promoted/adopted. E.g., the candidate will be part of early phase decisions related to architecture, component selection and generic design questions that are of importance for the compromise that is needed to achieve the most competitive product. This should strongly benefit, but not be limited to, parameters such as size, weight, cost, and reliability.
You will
- Be a key member of the thermal design team, specializing in cross-functional thermal-mechanical building practice (BP) strategies.
- Lead the evolution of early phase thermal architecture during future 5G, 6G, XG product initiation and invention.
- Adopt and promote a holistic view of product development to find the best design from an overall perspective.
- Streamline thermal building practice (BP) globally, empower BP innovation and execution efficiency through inhouse design for manufacture (DFM) capabilities.
- Collaborate with other technology experts, product design groups, supply chain partners and research groups at universities to develop new opportunities both to reduce cost and improve quality of Ericsson products.
- Collaborate with universities, institutions, and companies to explore and find novel technical solutions applicable to Ericsson product portfolio.
- Be a strong ambassador for thermal design and contribute to the competence development and awareness of thermal design on an Ericsson global level.
- Mentor, lead and coach others to advance technology implementation and evolution.
- Be a key contributor to the overall thermal design strategy at Ericsson.
- Have a wide network both within and outside Ericsson.
- Stay up to date with trends and new technology and lead Business Intelligence initiatives.
