Segula Technologies Australia has a Thermal Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) opportunity.
Job Description
The Thermal Engineer (SME) will work primarily as the single point of contact for Thermal Engineering Team. They will distribute work amongst DRE team and provide technical guidance as well as completing Design and Integration activities as required. They are responsible for the overall Design, Development and validation for vehicles thermal system.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring quality of the thermal teams output before delivery to the customer
  • Runs regular design reviews and team meetings and provides design status and progress.
  • Embrace a continual growth mindset and continually grow expertise in your field and positively challenge processes and standard practices to improve the organisation.
  • Actively mentoring and developing team talent to improve project deliverable quality
  • Developing long term strategies and content for future projects
  • Control the overall program timing plans related to the thermal systems and parts responsible for. The DRE is responsible for communicating key timing milestones for responsible systems and parts and escalating any timing concerns to yourself as the SME. You need are responsible to ensure recovery plan are created and communicated with the program team.
  • Guide and Prepares study request responses and quotes including resources, cost and timing.
  • Identifies and escalates threats to achieve plans and proposes interventions and mitigations for management team to implement.
  • Provides input to Vehicle Technical Specifications and drive component Technical Specifications creation/evolution.
  • Guide and carry out technical engineering solutions to address challenges and change of scope.

Qualifications

15 + YEARS EXPERIENCE IN AUTOMOTIVE THERMAL SYSTEM ENGINEERING DEVELOPMENT

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering
  • Knowledge and experience managing teams and mentoring individuals
