Description:
The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (www.fraunhofer.com) currently operates 76 institutes and research units throughout Germany and is a leading applied research organization. Around 32 000 employees work with an annual research budget of 3.4 billion euros.
The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE in Freiburg is the largest solar research institute in Europe. Our approximately 1,400 employees work towards a sustainable, economical, safe and socially just energy supply system based on renewable energies. We contribute to this with our research focus on energy supply, energy distribution, energy storage and energy use. We are shaping the sustainable transformation of the energy system through outstanding research results, successful industrial projects, company spin-offs and global cooperation.
Would you like to play an active role in shaping the energy transition and write your thesis in this area? With us, you will find the experts and the environment to realize these goals.
For our group “Perowskit-Silizium-Tandemzellen Skalierung”, we are looking for a student assistant with the opportunity to write a thesis at the earliest possible date.
The focus of the thesis on “Spraying processes for perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells” is the development of a homogeneous spraying process for the application of a component of the perovskite absorber as well as the controlled drying and crystallization of the layer. The spray process is intended to replace the current laboratory standard, spin coating, and thus contribute to the scalability of the production of perovskite silicon tandem solar cells. The “Perovskite silicon tandem cell scaling” group has an extensive laboratory infrastructure with the latest process technology at its disposal for this purpose. In addition, we can utilize the entire spectrum of the Institute’s photovoltaic technology across teams and work in close cooperation with the University of Freiburg. This results in a research infrastructure and expertise that offers you unique opportunities worldwide.
