WHAT YOU BRING

SAP Customer Success is looking for a thesis student (f/m/d), finishing the current studies in a master study program of computer science or similar, with a tendency for technical detail. The applicant (f/m/d) should have basic knowledge of database systems and if possible on data analysis along with some basic understanding in AI/ML technology. In the area of analytics and data management, SAP offers a broad variety of products and services. The applicant (f/m/d) should be able to quickly adopt the methodology and be able to connect the dots using these products of SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, HANA Database along with AI and ML capabilities of SAP’s Business Technology Platform.

• Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
• Preferred fields of study: Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems, Mathematics, or similar studies.
• Computer skills: basic overview of SAP software, SQL, programming language basics commonly used at SAP (ABAP, Java, R, Python, TensorFlow).
• Language skills: German and English at least at B2 Level
• Soft skills: outgoing, communicative, self-reliant and team player

During the thesis the applicant (f/m/d) will work on identifying an analytical business case and realizing its implementation by using SAP technologies in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Context in combination with SAP BW/4 and or SAP Datasphere in combination with SAP HANA.
In the course of the 6 months-stay you will investigate on different implementation approaches for SAP machine learning technologies and develop a concept in order to improve a data transformation process from its core. Within a strong team of business professionals in the realm of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing you will have the unique opportunity to implement a proof of concept on a realistic business use case to elaborate on the beforehand developed concept.
You will be accompanied by a member of the team to get into the topic, to receive guidance along the Thesis and to get an overview and introduction on the available products and test landscapes. This research is a great opportunity to learn about SAPs business software universe, the capabilities of modern Analytics and Data Management Solutions as well as state-of-the-art machine learning technologies.
