The Thoracic Nurse Case manager team is looking for an experienced Nurse to join their friendly team of Nurse Practitioners. This is an ideal opportunity for those who want to further enhance their specialist nursing knowledge and skills within a supportive environment.
About the team.
The thoracic nurse practitioners provide a pre-operative assessment service for patients undergoing Thoracic surgery and provide psychological support for patients diagnosed with cancer from pre-operative diagnosis. The nurse practitioners liaise closely with lung nurse specialists, Consultant surgeons, Anaesthetist and MDT teams across the regions to ensure quality care throughout the whole of the patients’ journey.

The post holder will ideally have experience of supporting patients with Cardiovascular & Thoracic disease within primary or secondary care. They will need to be adaptable and flexible and work in varied environments across the organisation. You will require a flexible approach to working patterns and will be required to work to a rota.
As a Nurse Practitioner within the Thoracic team you will be expected to have excellent communication skills, promote the delivery of a high standard of patient-centered care and work between organisational boundaries
