ABOUT THE JOB

City Wonders, a rapidly growing and top provider of high-quality tour experiences, is looking for a Ticket Inventory Agent to help the business secure and efficiently manage all the ticket inventory required to operate its tours in specific destinations.
Successful candidates will be highly organized and detail oriented, have experience working in a fast-paced environment, be good with numbers, and possess the ability to adapt and think on the fly.

What are some of the responsibilities you’ll have every day in City Wonders?

  • Purchase tickets per utilization forecasts and sales trends, then insert them into our system
  • Review purchased tickets to ensure quality assurance and catch any possible errors
  • Develop, and once approved, implement new purchasing procedures and processes.
  • Create accurate ticket utilization forecasts for City Wonders’ venues and suppliers
  • Review upcoming tour sales and analyse and action tasks to reduce ticket wastage & increase sales opportunities
  • Support the analysis of margins and collaborate in developing strategies to improve process efficiency
  • Phone support of ground operations teams (Guides/Tour Leaders/Coordinators) with any ticketing queries
  • Collaborate effectively and professionally with internal/external stakeholders to resolve issues and foster good relationships

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business management, or a relevant field preferred. Work experience equivalent also welcomed
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required
  • Italian/French language skills a plus but not required
  • Analytical capabilities, ability to evaluate, analyse and present data trends to the business
  • A persistent attention to detail and a high level of comfort in working with numbers and repetitive processes
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Experience working with all levels of management
  • Available to work shifts schedule. 5 days out of 7 scheduled Monday to Sunday
  • Experience in the tourism industry is a plus
  • Proficiency with the MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and agility in learning new internal software and systems

Working hours & travel
This role is based in our City Centre Dublin office and hybrid working is facilitated. As the travel industry is a 7 day week industry, work days are scheduled 5 days across Monday to Sunday working approx. 2 weekends per month. Working hours are 40 hours per week scheduled in shifts from approx. 5.30am to 7pm depending on time of year. No major travel required.
