Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Requesting quotations from various Marine travel agencies worldwide and successfully negotiating the best prices.
- Arranging international visas and other documentation for crew travel such as crew change formalities, CDC document verification, OK TO BOARD paperwork, etc.
- Building relationships with new marine travel agents and negotiating favorable terms.
- Creating & implementing resourceful new ticketing strategies to reduce overall travel expenses and ensure more efficient travel booking procedures.
- Arranging accommodations & transportation for crew members at arrival and departure ports.
- Coordinating with global port agents on crew travel requirements.
- Assist with corporate travel of in-house staff as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree qualified with at least 5 years’ experience at a reputed travel agency as a ticketing agent within the Marine sector OR as an in-house agent at a shipping company managing crew travel.
- IATA certified.
- Global mindset with excellent knowledge of world geography, airport options & port destinations
- Strong command over digital ticketing software & online travel programs. Proficient working knowledge of Amadeus software is a MUST.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with thorough attention to details.
- Excellent command over verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Flexibility with working hours if necessary to manage tight crew ticketing schedules
- The scheduled date of joining is immediate for this position.
