Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Requesting quotations from various Marine travel agencies worldwide and successfully negotiating the best prices.
  • Arranging international visas and other documentation for crew travel such as crew change formalities, CDC document verification, OK TO BOARD paperwork, etc.
  • Building relationships with new marine travel agents and negotiating favorable terms.
  • Creating & implementing resourceful new ticketing strategies to reduce overall travel expenses and ensure more efficient travel booking procedures.
  • Arranging accommodations & transportation for crew members at arrival and departure ports.
  • Coordinating with global port agents on crew travel requirements.
  • Assist with corporate travel of in-house staff as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree qualified with at least 5 years’ experience at a reputed travel agency as a ticketing agent within the Marine sector OR as an in-house agent at a shipping company managing crew travel.
  • IATA certified.
  • Global mindset with excellent knowledge of world geography, airport options & port destinations
  • Strong command over digital ticketing software & online travel programs. Proficient working knowledge of Amadeus software is a MUST.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with thorough attention to details.
  • Excellent command over verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Flexibility with working hours if necessary to manage tight crew ticketing schedules
  • The scheduled date of joining is immediate for this position.
