Description:
MINIMUM POSITION KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Working knowledge of general hand tools and their applications and the ability to read AFIs, tech orders and manuals.
- High school diploma or equivalent training & experience.
- Ability to read and write English is required.
- Solid communications skills, strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to work as a member of a diverse, dynamic team.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
- Candidate should be other country national (OCN) or local national (LN).
- Possess a valid driver’s license, passport from their country have ability to obtain a work visa.
- Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.
Responsibilities:
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Provide warehouse and tool crib requirements as needed in and outside normal duty hours on a military installation. This position is in support of the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) and is located at Ascension Island Auxiliary Airfield (AAAF).
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate a unified warehouse function, tool cribs, and maintain custodial records for tool kits and tool kit items.
- Receive, store and issue hand tools, replacement tools, shop supplies and equipment.
- Keep records of tools issued to and returned by workers.
- Search for lost or misplaced tools and notifies supervision as required.
- Prepare inventory and requisitions stock as needed.
- Unpack and store new equipment.
- Visually inspects tools for wear and defects and will order replacement tools as necessary.
- Attaches identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment as needed.
- Other duties as required.
