Description:

MINIMUM POSITION KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Working knowledge of general hand tools and their applications and the ability to read AFIs, tech orders and manuals.
  • High school diploma or equivalent training & experience.
  • Ability to read and write English is required.
  • Solid communications skills, strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to work as a member of a diverse, dynamic team.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
  • Candidate should be other country national (OCN) or local national (LN).
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, passport from their country have ability to obtain a work visa.
  • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Provide warehouse and tool crib requirements as needed in and outside normal duty hours on a military installation. This position is in support of the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) and is located at Ascension Island Auxiliary Airfield (AAAF).

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate a unified warehouse function, tool cribs, and maintain custodial records for tool kits and tool kit items.
  • Receive, store and issue hand tools, replacement tools, shop supplies and equipment.
  • Keep records of tools issued to and returned by workers.
  • Search for lost or misplaced tools and notifies supervision as required.
  • Prepare inventory and requisitions stock as needed.
  • Unpack and store new equipment.
  • Visually inspects tools for wear and defects and will order replacement tools as necessary.
  • Attaches identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment as needed.
  • Other duties as required.
