Description:

Mack Molding, a leading custom plastics molder and contract manufacturing services supplier located right here in Vermont, is seeking for a tool room supervisor at its East Arlington facility in Arlington, Vt.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Developing and maintaining Tool Room operations, include all scheduling, labor hours, and production requirements
  • Studying production schedules and estimating worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment
  • Establishing or adjusting work procedures to meet production schedules
  • Establishing production and quality control standards
  • Assisting with preparation of budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications and delivery dates of work products
  • Examining defective machinery to determine cause of malfunction and reports need for machine repairs
  • Inspecting work in progress and finished product
  • Setting up and operates machines to make test runs and experimental products
  • Suggesting changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew
  • Conferring with management staff from other departments to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products
  • Coordinating Tool Room activities with all other functions of the organization and with suppliers to achieve optimum production and utilization of personnel, machinery and equipment.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of new technologies which may improve operations and develops recommendations accordingly.
