WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

As a tooling coordinator, the main objective will be to catalogue fixtures and durable items to manufacture all components at Howmet Leicester. Working with your direct manager, you will create an embed a numerical logging system where a digital library of all inventories will be stored. As the project moves forward once all inventory is logged, you will implement a QR code rework scheme that will control costs linked to EDI ordering via Howmet’s ERP systems. You will also work with our tooling consignment supplier, grouping all durable, consignment, calibration equipment and PPE items to manage stock levels and costs.
You will also work with our CIP engineer to capture any savings where we will track and realise over an incremental 12-month period.
Your thoughts and ideas will be welcomed to help embed and strengthen Howmet’s tooling solutions.
