Job Description
General Dynamics has an excellent opportunity for a highly talented and inclusive individual with total rewards experience. We are searching for a full-time Total Rewards Manager to act as a trusted advisor, thought leader and consultant to the organisation on all aspects of employee compensation, rewards, pension and benefits.
In this Manager of Total Rewards role, you will report to the Senior Director of Human Resources in General Dynamics Mission Systems International. This is a total rewards job focused on the United Kingdom (UK) but you will collaborate and work strategically with our Canadian based business as well. You will help set the total rewards direction, policy, and procedures based on corporate-level strategy.

To give you an idea of how the job will look and feel, if you were currently working for us, these are some of the things you would be working on:

  • Leading, inspiring, and mentoring a team of total rewards professionals
  • Developing budgetary plans and projections based on operational requirements and priorities aligned with current and projected compensation and benefits plan costs
  • Leading the compensation life cycle of surveys, analysis and setting market competitive rates
  • Working on diverse strategic and total rewards matters

Qualifications

To be successful as the Manager of Total Rewards, you will need to have leadership experience in compensation, pension and benefits, including overseeing multiple pension and benefits plans. In addition, you will require the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to pension, benefits and other terms of employment
  • Deep specialized knowledge of compensation including incentive plans, compensation structure, and benefits program development and implementation with measurable outcomes
  • Ability to influence and work collaboratively with business leaders and HR Business Partners to provide direction on complex total reward challenges and evolve programs with emerging business needs
  • Excellent communication skills, analysis and decision-making skills, and a willingness to learn and grow in your role.

Additional Information
This role has a starting salary of between £57,600 - £72,000 plus our flexible benefits package.
We are open to this role being hybrid with time spent in our offices and time spent from home. Some requirement for travel will be required both within the UK and internationally.
