QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of direct related experience in compensation analysis, administration, and design.
  • Knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and legislation, such as pay equity, market pricing, and job evaluation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and experience with HRIS (ADP WFN) and compensation systems and tools.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Certification in Compensation or Human Resources, such as CCP, GRP, or CHRP, is an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking of internal and external compensation data, using various sources and tools.
  • Support the annual compensation cycle (merit and bonus) administration, including data validation, system testing, communication, and reporting.
  • Perform job evaluations and provide recommendations on job grading, salary ranges, and pay equity.
  • Review and update compensation policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with best practices and legal requirements.
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on compensation-related matters, such as pay decisions, policy interpretation, and market trends.
  • Participate in compensation surveys and audits and maintain accurate and up-to-date compensation data and records.
  • Produces reports and analytics for off-cycle compensation changes; presents observations and makes recommendations as required.
  • Contribute to compensation projects and initiatives, such as salary structure review, incentive plan design, pay equity analysis, salary planning preparation and pay transparency initiatives.
  • Support the review, analysis and change management of group benefits programs, retirement savings plans and incentives.
  • Collaborates in special ad-hoc Total Rewards initiatives and provides back-up support as needed for peers.
